Mix and Match
Assorted Items Free Play
For this activity, “connecting” was the common theme of the items laid out. As with the goal of Free Play, the activity also paves way for us to think creatively on how to tinker around with the items. The items included connecting toys, cube blocks, rubber bands, and K’nex toys. Here’s what several of us did in this station:
1. A found connected toys that were already linked to each other and was amused with the “friction” it made when he moved it around
2. W used cube blocks to build a house for S’s favorite character, Anpanman
3. Y inserted K’nex pieces through a stick like it were skewers. He spinned it and was amused with how it went around.
4. J used K’nex sticks as chopsticks to pick up rubber bands which he thought resembled noodles.
5. N was interested in the sound that putting in items inside an empty bottle made.
Buds’ Children Mix and Match Puzzle
Yesterday’s “Buds’ Children Mix and Match” puzzle was again brought out for us to arrange. K and N spent time scooping paste out of a tub and applying it on the pieces. R thought of completing S’s puzzle piece on his behalf.
Adding “Sparkle” to the Spider’s Web
Yesterday’s “Decorating A Spider’s Web” piece was cut up into smaller pieces wherein we could intricately decorate it further by adding gold, purple, and silver glitter glue on it. E took charge of “sparkling” up our spider’s web by creating dotted and linear patterns.
Colored Water Play
Out in the balcony with S, colored tablets were diluted in water for us to observe. K and K had a grand time sprinkling water at each other.
Out to the Park
We had lovely weather today so we went out to the park to play in the green area. S and Sy had a grand time playing balls with their friends.
We hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday so far.
Love,
Buds Class Children
