Burnable and Un-Burnable
Hooray for Excellent Thursday! You know what, we had lots of movement activities today! Free play time was busy with fun activities as always. After we finished our morning jobs, we got straight to playing. At the big table, we got to dig our hands into play dough. R, L, P, S, and R had fun playing with play dough. “Loooooook!” R showed his friends the big cookie and ice cream he made. S was quietly making noodles. At the small table, we had an interesting table game and it was our first time to try it out. It was a game about a Shopping List. The rule was each of us had a trolley and a shopping list. The shopping item cards are spread out and it needs to be matched with the shopping list. We enjoyed it a lot, we wanted to continue to play but didn't have enough time so our teacher said that we can play with it tomorrow, too! R, J, E, T, G played today and got used to the rules so they were excited it would be on the table tomorrow. K was showing his planet magnet to us and we had a chance to have a look. H was curious what we were doing.
After we cleaned up, we had our snack time. Then we had special dance time with Maryna. Today our favorite song was Going on a bear hunt song, so much so that we enjoyed singing the song on the way to the park, too! We jumped, hopped, clapped, stomped, and stretched. It was a very good exercise.
Another exercise time was playing with flowers class at the park. We sometimes have a chance to play with them, but today we got to play for a long time with them. Flowers let us use the rope and a ball. Most of us enjoyed playing with flowers class teachers. Oh, by the way, Vieda was in petals class today for Nimo. He had a very important appointment so we got to play and learn with Vieda! Thank you Vieda for helping us! We are all still learning how to take turns or how to ask if we want something, we had a nice learning moment today, sharing is caring!
After we came back from the park, we had a short circle time. Our teachers noticed that some of us were interested in separating or sorting garbage. “Banana go burnable?” “Paper go where?” “Which one? Burnable or un-burnable?” So Sayaka gave us a simple lesson on how to find out if it's plastic. Sayaka explained and showed us the recycling symbol on the plastic such as yogurt, snack wraps, spoons, forks, and many others.. Sayaka asked Seiken to keep his yogurt container for today’s circle time. Sayaka showed the plastic symbols we have on the garbage box. Then she asked if we could find the same symbol on S’s yogurt container. It was a bit tricky to find it. Hmmmm…where is it? We needed to look very closely. When J tried it, “Oh here? HERE!” He was very happy and excited to find it. He proudly showed it to everybody. “Pla? (Plastic)” T wondered. “I see this.” G looked at it one more time. Then Sayaka told us that we will learn more about it next time since we are interested in it. “Ahhh I’m hungry.” After we had a lot of movement, we were very hungry so we asked for lunch time. It was a great exercising day!
Thank you very much for wonderful day and see you all tomorrow!
