That’s Good! That’s Bad!

It was very cold this morning. Since Buds and Flower are closed, Ohana was much quieter than usual. We had a tactile path that we enjoyed walking on during free play time. We also took out the toy fruits and played with them. Sayaka asked us to come make a circle after we cleaned up…One of the Petals’ friends found a broken toy-It is not actually broken but there is a missing part… So, we all went looking for that part. Then Kai realized that something was missing in the kitchen…Where is it? Hmmm…Then teachers asked if we could clean up properly. While we were looking for the toys, we actually found many toys under the shelf! It was like a hidden treasure chest! “Is the right place to put our toys away?” Kai and Sayaka asked us. “....No….” We answered. So we learnt that when we pack away all the toys have their own spots.

We had storytime before we go to the park today. We had fun talking about animals especially dogs while we were walking to the park, Sayaka wanted to introduce one of the books from Petals library. THAT’S GOOD! THAT’S BAD! By Margery Cuyler, illustrated by David Catrow. This is the story of a boy who goes to the jungle and encounters lots of animals. The adventure seems quite wild as he had many wild events happening. He could stand all the build-up of events and started crying at the end. It was an interesting story and had nice pictures. Sayaka was wondering if we would like to learn more about animals. She suggested that we will ask our family when we have an international month. Some countries might have special animals that we only can see in the country. Then Kai showed the picture of a Japanese antelope. It is one of the special animals in Japan. “I like animal.” H said. “Me too.” L added. We hope we can learn about it more during the international month presentation.

Park time! We are asked by teachers about the park for today. L and H really wanted to go to Tokyo Tower. “We can go…but it might be very very far for petals.” Our teachers said. So we decided to go to Step Park. There were no other children there so we could play with the equipment! We enjoyed climbing on the jungle gym, using the wide slide and the swings!

We had a fun day! Thank you very much for today and see you all tomorrow.

XOXO,
