The Medal Ceremony
We had a wonderful Sports Day yesterday. The big field made us want to run, jump, push, pull….so after that we were super tired. We had no energy to do the medal ceremony. When came to the school, she asked the teachers about the medal. Then our teachers told her that we will have the ceremony today during circle time.
In the morning free play time, we continued our autumn art. We added some leaves onto it. On the other table, we had sensory numbers and connecting blocks. It was a matching game and Pauline helped us to play with it. The back of the classroom was busy with Duplo blocks. L, R, H, and A spent a long time playing with it. H said, “Look, this is Sayaka’s house, Kai’s house, and Pauline’s house.” Sayaka laughed and asked her if she thinks they are living together in the same house. H had a cheeky smile on and said, “YES!” hahaha. We had a wonderful free time.
We gathered for our circle time and reviewed our fun event yesterday which was Sports Day. Then Sayaka said that she would like to do some movement activity before we start the medal ceremony. First, we used the ball. We all got one ball and she asked us to toss it then catch it. It was fun but also a bit tricky. Then she asked us to stand on the pink line. She used the spider web line that she made for circle time last week. Sayaka asked us to walk on the line. H put the ball on her head and Sayaka said, “That is a great idea, H!” We walked on the line and kept the ball on our head at the same time. After that we had a short race. Running is always fun! Lastly, we did the bear walk. Sayaka demonstrated the difference between crawl and bear walk. We put our hands on the floor and we need to focus on our bottoms up in the air. It was a great exercise for us to improve core strength. Then finally- we had the medal ceremony! We are all proud of ourselves. We told our teachers that we want to show the medal to our mommy, daddy and brother, and/or sister!
After that we headed to the park. Luckily, we met Flowers Class over there. We enjoyed playing with them. Thank you very much for the wonderful day and see you all tomorrow!
Love,
