Walking in the Jungle

Walking in the jungle, I’m not afraid…
Hello everyone! What beautiful weather outside! Our friends were so excited because today, it’s time for park. We always look forward to see and have this time with our friends and teachers.

Morning Free play
We’ve got some lacing activities today, but Liezel was so creative that she wrapped the laces on top of the basket and the pegs were all inside it. It was good practice for tracking skills because we ensured that our hands could go through the intertwined laces. We were able to get our favorite pegs and we noticed that they come in various colors and figures. On the other side, we did a few clipping pegs as well. There were some cardboard figures that we can attach the pegs too. It was great to see some wheels and our friends were so happy to attach them and move them around.

The counting bear toys were also popular during the day. We compared and matched the bears according to their size and color. Some of us are still learning how to grasp this concept, but it is a good opportunity to understand the differences and similarities of objects.

Floor Activities
There were some big Lego Blocks on the floor and not only that, but we also had our big tree with the animals lying around the tree. We also created some vines and leaves to stick on the tree. The animal toys were also on the floor. Our friends are gradually recognizing and identifying the animals. We are happy to see that all of us are becoming more proactive and imaginative with our skills.

Music Session and Circle time
Our morning music session was so much fun. We played “Stop and Go”. Dancing and singing around the classroom were the things that we always loved doing. When we heard the music, we moved and sang and when the music stopped, we all stopped altogether. We did so well that our friends became very familiar and attentive during our music classes.

For our circle time, we talked about the “Jungle animals”. We read the book called “If you go walking in Tiger Woods” by Alan Durant. We loved finding the animals that were hiding in the bushes, the trees and in the cave.

Park Time
We spent a good amount of time running and playing around the green area. Our friends also lay down on the soft artificial grass and it was nice to feel the sun on our faces.

Thank you so much and have a great day!
Lots of love,
All the children from Buds class
