Summer Time!

Morning Fun Time
Good morning! We wonder if the rainy season is really finally over... we looked out the window and oh! “Hello Mr. Sunshine! Let’s change into our swimsuits!” Erika and Goh San helped us in changing for our water play. While waiting for everyone to come and change into their swim suits, we occupied ourselves with Lego blocks and ice blocks!

Sparkly colored ice cubes were melting and started to slide within the tray. Oooh, what are these cold, sparkly objects? Can we eat it? How about we bring in cooking toys? And tadaaah! We proudly serve to you iced pasta and iced pizza! Itadakimasu!

Some of us used brushes to keep the ice blocks moving around the tray. Of course, we touched and felt the ice with our hands. Some of us were hesitant to touch because we didn’t want the slimy, glittery glue to be on our hands. The inner part of the room was buzzing with the “Choo-choo!” sound as some of us made long trains and made move it around the room.

Water Play Time!
After packing away our toys, we all gathered around the circle to dance to our all-time favorite, “Baby Shark”! With Sayaka leading us, we excitedly moved our body by jumping, hopping, and running around the classroom. While we were dancing, the music suddenly stop and we were asked to freeze. It’s now a “Freeze Dance” game! Amongst the colored circles that make up our Circle Time area, Sayaka pointed out the five rings that has the same color as the rings in the Olympics.

After having a short discussion about the Olympics, we headed up to our office’s garden where a sprinkler was set up for us to play in. Some of us went right in the circle while some preferred to stay by the sides to watch the water spring out from the tube. A few of us were extremely interested with how the water came out and were occupied with stepping on the tube to see which direction the water would move to.

Park Time
The fun never ends! After drying up and changing our clothes, we had our snacks to get us energize to go out to the park. We were lucky to chance upon our friends from Petals class when we arrived at the park. They kindly lent us their recycled water bottle sprinklers that had holes on its cap. We all had a blast squeezing the bottle and getting wet to cool down under the summer sun.  Splish! Splash! Erika helped us in pressing the bottle when the water was starting to ran out.

We also had a wonderful time chasing bubbles around the area. Before heading back to school, we all sat by a shaded area to cool down.

Today was filled with so much physical activities that we really felt like an athlete! We also had a hearty lunch and a good sleep… two things that are important to keep us alert and fit!

We hope you’ve had a great day.

Love
