A bittersweet close to a fantastic year

Just like a snap of a finger, the school year is over. Sped right through fall, warped into the end of winter, and blazed right past spring straight into summer. They say time flies when you’re having fun, and those words couldn’t be any more true. Thank you everyone for a lovely year, we couldn’t have done it without the hard work from our moms and dads!

Since today was the last day of school, our teachers joined us for our morning free play time! Liezel worked with us to finish our 200 piece puzzle, Nimo played dominos with us, and Vieda read stories for us and joined us for our imaginative play. Our day was short today so we had an early snack then gathered into a circle to sing a few songs and received our lovely gifts from Ka. We did our last Question of the Day which was, “Which park do you want to go to today?”, the choices we had were: Step Park, Arisugawa, or Kogai. Since we all went to Kogai Park yesterday we felt we wanted to head over to Step Park , almost everyone put their names under Step Park. Only two people put their names under Kogai Park, Una and M. Kano said, “Maybe U and M put their names there because they didn’t come to school yesterday and didn’t get to go to Kogai Park like we did”. A had a great idea, “Let’s all just go to Kogai Park then!”, everyone agreed and so we marched on over to Kogai. Una and M were very happy because they have been telling their teachers that they wanted to go to Kogai Park.

When we got back to school, our Petals friends were all being picked up, we hurried back to our classrooms and got everything together to go home.

Have a lovely summer everyone! Those of you coming for Summer School, we will see you soon. Those of you graduating Ohana today, we will miss you dearly and wish you all the best!

Love,

Flowers
