Free Play

This morning we had fun with the animals, played games with the teachers and played in the tent. We brought most of the animals in the tent to play with. Inside the tent we also played rock, paper, scissors. We like using scissors. We’ve been wanting to play Zingo for the longest time and today we finally had the chance to play!

 Pakistan Day!

We are so lucky to have so many special visitors in Petals Class. Today we had Z’s mom A! Z was so happy to see her on the screen she went up to it to give it a big hug and kiss! Did you know that Pakistan is the fifth-most populous country in the world? It also has snow in the North, green valleys, beaches and desserts! Z was able to show us her beautiful shalwar kameez and her musical bangles she was wearing on her wrist. We also learnt about what the colors of the flag, moon and stars stand for.

“Firstly you have green and white rectangles- on the Pakistani flag this green rectangle and white together show that people with different backgrounds and religions can live peacefully together

The moon means progress- and moving ahead and the star means light”

It was amazing that we could make the flag together!

We also looked at all the delicious food from Pakistan. There were samosa, biryani rice, naan, roti and chai tea. There are also a lot of famous people from Pakistan but one that’s a major influence in the world is Malala. She advocates for female education.

One of the most fun part of learning about Pakistan is playing cricket. A made a cricket bat and brought a ball for us to play with. Although we didn’t all get to play at that time, we brought it to the park and played with it there. Similar to the colorful jeepney we saw yesterday, Pakistan had colorful trucks! A showed us the truck she has at home and gave us a coloring sheet to take home.

SHUKRIYA (shook- ree- ahh)!!

Thank you A for the well- planned and prepped Pakistani day!

 Park Time

We were able to play with Buds Class today at the park! We brought the cricket bat and ball to practice our cricket skills that we learnt today. We also love playing tag with the teachers and just laying on the ground for some rest and relaxation. We hope you’ve enjoyed the sunny, warm day! We know we did!

XOXO,
