This isn't goodbye, so we'll say, "See you again!"
Good morning everyone! We were very fortunate that it didn’t rain today! We arrived at school and finished up our projects for the week. The Ballerina team added the finishing touches to the poster and we finally finished our Picasso inspired canvas, so we signed our names on the back! We made more paper chains for our movie night and then played with some blocks and dinosaurs.
The sky was cloudy and we were a little bit worried it might rain, but we all still went to the park anyway. We had a great time playing with R one last time! Buds joined us a little later and we all played ball! When we got back to school we used up the rest of our energy by playing some freeze dance! Our teachers were very impressed with the amazing dance moves our friends were busting out! After our freeze dance we sat down and sang a few songs together like, the “Ohana School Song”, “Love Is Something If You Give It Away”, and the “How Are You” song. Singing always makes us happy!
R had a special surprise for us, he handed us a wonderful bag of goodies for us to take home! We all made sure to say our thank yous and gave him an elbow bump!
Since today was R’s very last day at Ohana, we all went downstairs and greeted A. We had a small graduation ceremony for him and we waved farewell to our beloved R, A, and M. Thank you very much for all the memories and great times! We wish you all the best! This isn’t good-bye so we will say, “See you again!” We came back to class with a bittersweet feeling in our hearts, our teachers recited a famous quote by Dr. Suess, “Don’t cry because it’s over, Smile because it happened.” Although we are sad to see R go, we are so happy to have met him and played with him!
We began our circle time by reading our question of the day, “Are you ready for Movie Night?!” Our friends all said yes and they asked us, “We are doing movie night!?!?!”. We definitely are going to do our movie night, but it’s not today. A said, “I thought that question meant we are doing it today,” we can see that our friends are very excited for it. However, our teachers needed to do one last check to see if we had everything we need ready for our grand premiere on Wednesday. We have our movies filmed and we had most of our signs made. Good thing we did a quick check because we found that there were a few more things we needed to make. Our teachers also reminded us to remind our parents to make sure to pack some popcorn in our backpacks on Wednesday for our movie night. Because of the corona virus, we can’t share food, but we can have popcorn if we bring our own, and what would a movie at a movie theater be without popcorn!
Starting next week, we will begin setting up the classroom to look like a movie theater, it makes us excited to imagine how the classroom will change! Make sure to rest well friends for the big day will require lots of work! Have a great weekend and see you all again Monday!
Love,
Flowers
