Counting with friends

IMG_6384.jpg

Good morning everyone! Look at this beautiful weather today! Mr. Sun was really shining so bright and some of the plum blossom trees are blooming. Perhaps, spring is coming early this year. We’re excited for it and we can’t wait for more flowers to grow.

Play dough with Chiaki

Early morning, we made a new play dough with Chiaki-sensei. She’s always so nice in helping us stirring the dough until it reached the right consistency that we were looking for.

Flower embellishments

On the other table, we’ve got some filter flowers that we’ve made with Dila’s mom. Today, we tried to put glitters on using the glue first and then we sprinkled everything on it. It created wonderful patterns and we’re very impressed by it because of the design that we have made today. On the carpet area,  we had some trains and tracks that we could put together and we’re very excited what kind of train station we’re putting up this time. We saw our friends working together and they made a big circle tracks. Our free play time is one of the things that we obviously love to do. Here, we can  explore whatever we can imagine and create with the materials being presented to us.

Gym class

For our gym class, Kaji-sensei came to our class and of course, with a beautiful smile. First, we did a lot of jumping over the rope that were attached to the chairs. Also, we did the gorilla game wherein he would count from one to five and every time he says “gorilla” we had to run from one side of the room to the other.

We also did a lot of running, jumping, crawling  and bear walk.

Circle time

For our circle time, we sang our favorite good morning song and counted our friends today. It was interesting how some of us counted by hearing rather than actually counting the quantity. There were some domino flashcards that we  can look and point at. Slowly, we counted the dots and tried to associate that with the toys that we could associate it with. For example, we’ve got the counting bears and matched them with the domino flashcards we had on the floor. So, our teachers decided to have a counting time in small groups. We have divided ourselves into four and it was fantastic to see how we were so cooperative and  had a chance to do the counting. Thank you so much Ohana  for another beautiful day!

Lots of love,

Buds Class children
