~My heart goes sha-la-la-la-la-la! Sha-la-la in the morning!

Oh, oh oh! Sha-la-la-la-la! Sha-la-la in the sunshine! ~

FREE PLAY PERIOD

 <Shiny and Sparkly Sensory Play>

     Oooh! What are those glossy, shiny colorful little objects that are on the table? Our teachers need not invite us to go to this table for our eyes already got attracted to the glossiness & shininess of these objects.

     Together with Erika and Goh San, we came up with so many ideas on how to use these objects. At first, we were only just attracted to the shiny features of the glass tiles, glossy stones, marbles and sequins. Later on, our friends A, L, and S came up with the idea of balancing and lining up these objects on the ledge of the plastic shields. L & L bonded over pouring and picking up sequins. E and S pretended to wear “pearl” earrings like Erika.  When it was time to clean up, we had to separate each object to its own kind so that our things in the classroom would be neat and organized.

<Playing & Singing Along with Liezel>

     Oh how we missed having Liezel in Buds Class! This morning, she came and spent the whole day with us. We built block towers, played with toys cars, and sang “It’s A Small World” with her. She even played the guitar to accompany John in his singing and playing the ukulele. What a treat! Thank you, Liezel & John!

<Autumn Leaf Tracing>

     We have been seeing a lot of fallen brown, orange, red, and yellow leaves lately.  Autumn has indeed arrived in its full glory! To celebrate this season, we had a leaf tracing activity. Goh San assisted and told us that we had to look at the lines, shape, and size of the leaf  while tracing.

     Just like in the past tracing activities that we have done, we were able to work on our eye hand coordination as we had to keep an eye that the clear sheet was in place by holding it still while our other hand was busy tracing.

 CIRCLE TIME

     It was quite gloomy this morning but this doesn’t mean that we couldn’t have fun indoors! Goh San shared to us a song that she recently have been listening to that helps  her start her day in a jolly mood. The song was entitled “Shalala Lala” by the Vengaboys. John showed us some moves so that we can dance along. We had to use our eyes to see and know the dance moves.

     For this month, we are going to explore our sense of sight.  Which part of our body allows us to use this sense…? Our eyes! With our eyes, we can see so many beautiful and wonderful things. Erika made us laugh when she made various funny eyes.

     Aside from Liezel, Nimo and Shelley also came to join our class. Together with them, we sang our favorite songs “Baa Baa Black Sheep”, “Baby Shark”, and “Skidimarink”. We sang these songs in our loudest voices!

    We hope you all had a wonderful time relaxing this holiday!
