Dinosaur, Dinosaur Stomp

Early morning, we gathered at our table where we found our favorite dinosaur toys with the artificial grass and forest map spread out on our table. We also got some animal toys prepared on the carpet area and it was a nice opportunity for all of us to explore and use the toys imaginatively!

Apart from having the big dinosaurs on the table, we also had our sensory table with some sand , twigs, little trees, rocks and pretend lake. What a great way of using our hands and feeling the sand and playing with the various dinosaurs that we got from Petals class. It was a busy place in the classroom because everybody just wanted to dig in and explore what we could do with these materials. It was indeed a fantastic learning experience again for all of us.

Chiaki, on the other hand, was near the kitchen area where she was helping us to make some dot marks on  our paper. She also taught how to take off and put the cap markers on. It was again another  learning experience for all of us because we used our fine motor skills and how we can create  various patterns.

Our circle time is about the story about the dinosaur who lay some eggs on land and then she started to go around to find food for her offspring. This dinosaur happened to be a triceratops with three big horns on his forehead and nose. When the triceratops twins woke up and became more aware of their surroundings, they also began to walk around in order to find their mom. They encountered several creatures who were also looking for something (not their offspring but it was food) so the twins went off and ran away as much as they could from these scary creatures so that they couldn’t be eaten. At last, after a long search, they were able to find their mother and they were also found by their mother. All along, their mom was endlessly searching for them as well. So, they treaded onto their journey again of finding their way in where they lived.

Park Time is also an important part of the day. We’re also very lucky to have the park all to ourselves during the first part of our stay. Later on, children from different schools and Flowers class children came and played with us. When we’re finished, we were guided by our bigger friends from Flowers Class and they all took to our rope. It was quite helpful for our teachers to have the little assistants at the park.

 Lots of love,

Buds Class children
