When I Grow Up…

March 30, 2026

Welcome back to Flowers Class! We hope everyone enjoyed the break! We shared what we did while we were away on spring break!

S: Just hoikuen.

A: I go to Okinawa. I go to a pool and made a candle craft and seashell craft.

K: I go to robot park with mommy and grandma.

S: Disney Sea. I like teacup.

E: I just stayed home and played Zelda.

S: So many things came to my home for Passover, so I was telling the people on the street to go or stop when they moved all of the boxes.

E: I went to Hawaii. I went to the beach and did a cannonball in the pool!

R: I went to Yamagata-ken to see linear.

I: I watch movie with friends.

T: Kickball with grandpa.

We noticed very quickly this morning that we have a new friend in Flowers class named H! We played together during free play, and took some time to ask him some questions during circle time.

R: Where are you from?

H: San Fransisco.

I: Which flag?

H: Actually, it’s that one! (points to American flag)

E: I know how old he is! 5!

H: Yes!

S: What color do you like?

H: Green.

R: What toy do you like?

H: Train. I have plarail!

E: What food do you like?

H: Noodles!

We found out that we have a lot in common with our newest friend!

Recently some of our friends have moved onto big school, so we’re happy to have someone join us! Welcome to Flowers Class, H!

QUESTION OF THE DAY

K & H: Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?

We spent the past few months learning about all kinds of different jobs, and now we think we’re ready to pick one for ourselves!

R: Train driver

S: Soccer player

K: Police officer

E: Soccer player

I: Astronaut.

S: SWAT team

H: A steam train conductor.

A: I want to play instrument like guitar.

S: I don’t know.

E: I want to be the same job as mommy and daddy, but I don’t know what it is.

There are a few jobs that we haven’t talked about yet, so let’s learn about them soon! We’re also very interested in what our parents do for work and would love to learn more about them! Please come and share your profession with us!

Love,

Flowers
