Time well spent with Arisunomori

Today was another busy day here in Flowers. We continued preparing for graduation and had a short circle time. Yesterday we wanted to count in Hebrew, but nobody in class knows how. Today our question of the day is;” Do you know 4 in Hebrew?”. We were all eager to learn how to count in Hebrew. Then we tried counting in Hebrew. We listened carefully and tried our best to repeat after our teacher. Then we talked about our visit to Arisunomori. We were reminded that visiting grandpa and grandpa is very important.

  • Question of the day

R: Do you know four in Hebrew?

K: Yes!… I forgot

A: no

E: I think I know

J: no

R: Yes, it’s alba

What do we do in Arisunomori?

E: We give gifts

A: dance

Why do we go to Arisunomori?

R: Because grandpa and grandpa will be happy. There are not a lot of people who go there

While walking to Arisugawa park, we   It’s amazing that some of our friends already know how to count to 10! S will be surprised that we can count in Hebrew now. We miss you, S!

K: * counts 1-10 in Hebrew

J: R, can you be slow? (asking his friend to count slowly)

R: But I am already slow. I can do it by myself.

I: * counts along with J

Our last visit to Arisunomori this school year was very memorable. We performed two dances for them and played a game with them.  Grandma and grandpa prepared a game for us, too! A balloon game, where we try to put the balloon to grandma and grandpa’s side. Then we presented the gifts we made for them; a very special pen holder made of recycled bottles and pipe cleaners. Before leaving, two grandpas gave an extremely touching and emotional message to us. Thank you Arisunomori for always welcoming us. We’ll surely go back to see you next school year!
