Wednesday 3rd December
Hello everyone,
Today was another very busy day in the middle of a very busy week. Today we went with Buds and Petals class to go to the fire station. We walked holding hands with Buds class who are much younger than us to teach us how to look after younger friends! At the fire station we learned how to use a fire extinguisher and got to go inside the big fire truck. Some of the Flowers friends asked some great questions to the fire fighters that worked at the fire station.
Sh; how do you make the water bigger?

Then we came back to Ohana and practiced all of the moves for our WINTER PARTY next week we are all so excited to show you.

E: promise is when you say you will do something and you do it.

We also looked at our Japanese word of the day.
K: matsu
M: matsu means wait.
S: no chotte matte means wait
When do we wait?
L: in the line
J: to do something
J: you need to wait for your turn
S: when we wash our hands.
E: we wait in lines for buses and trains and at the grocery store.
Rl: we wait to eat our lunch.
Question of the day
J: do you want to be last
M: is it ok to be last.
K: yes because i am a good girl
L: yes because it is not a race
E: i open the door for people because if someone else is first then they will be happy and if they are happy then i am happy.
J: no its not ok because you need to be fast walking. If you are not fast then school will already be starting.
R: i want to win i want to be number 1.
J; i want to be with mummy and daddy and they are first.
We want to become a strong team in Flowers class so that we can work together. We played a team building game where we all held hands and tried to make a squeeze go around the circle but it was super tricky, we will try again!
We read a story about what kindness is. “Try a little kindness” everyone gave some great ideas about what kindness is
J: listening to friends
M: say nice things to teachers and friends.
The teachers gave everyone compliments and we all decided that when we do kind things to each other we feel “happy” so we will try to do more kind things in Flowers class.
It was such a great day today we are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
