Today is our last day of practice for our big Winter Party Show! Before we had our dress rehearsal we made our special bags for our gifts then washed some of the toys from our kitchen. We changed into our special clothes for the party then quickly ran through our winter party songs then did a Dress Rehearsal! We are so ready for our show tomorrow!
After our Dress Rehearsal, we practiced playing the game we will be playing with our moms and dads tomorrow! We will lie down on a sleigh and our parents will push us to where the balls are. There is a letter written on each ball and we need to find our first letter of our names! There are three hidden in the batch. Once we got all three, we would let our parents know we are ready to go back and they will pull the sleigh back to where the buckets are and we will put the balls in that bucket!
Today’s story was, “The Snowy Nap” by Jan Brett, the same author that wrote, “The Mitten”. It was a cute story about a Hedgehog and his farm animal friends. The farm animals would tell the hedgehog all of the lovely things in winter he would miss out on because he hibernates.
L: Look! Baa, baa, sheep!
N: *Sings Ba Ba Black Sheep*
L: This sheep not black, white!
Nimo: Why is the sheep saying he won’t see the snowflakes?
M: Because sleeping.
Nimo: The sheep said, “I wish I could keep a snowflake for you.” Why can’t the sheep keep a snowflake until the hedgehog wakes up?
L: Melt.
E: The snowflake will make and tun into water.
Nimo: What animal is this?
M: Uma, horse!
L: I can ride on the horse. In China I was on a horse.
Nimo: There’s a snowstorm coming! Can the animals be outside?
Y: No, too cold!
Nimo: Winter has come! The chicken’s house looks like an ice castle! What happened to the pond?
N: Melt!
Nimo: Great guess! The opposite of melt, the pond is frozen.
N: Oh, frozen.
Nimo: What are the geese and the girl doing?
M: Ice
E: They are ice skating.
Nimo: Now she is making?
L: Snowman!
I: Oh! Hedgehog is sleeping!
A: Good night!
After our story, we counted the candles on the Menorah again and sang the candle song! We joined Flowers at Step Park and had a great time playing together!
Thank you all for another fabulous day!
We look forward to our Winter Party tomorrow starting at 9:30 AM! Please don’t forget about your silver/gray top and black bottoms, if you haven’t brought them to school yet!
Love,
Petals
