Hello and happy Halloween everyone!
Today we came to school all dressed up! We were very excited to see what our friends` costumes are. We started our celebration with singing Knock, Knock, Trick or Treat and introduce who we are for Halloween.

Our room moms came today and made a very nice craft together with the us.
We made a pumpkin with leaves, berries and flowers, we even found a caterpillar!
Afterwards we got some treats and Halloween stickers, thank you very much!
The party continued with a game after the parents left, it was a lot of fun.
After the game, we continued to learn about our feelings. Today we focused on being scared and brave. We turned off the all the lights, and our teacher tried to see if we were going to be scared with the Oni mask she was wearing.
S: I’m not scared, because I have three lights!
J: I felt silly… silly Oni.
J: It was funny
I: scary
E: I’m going to be brave. I’m not scared because I know you’re Assol!
Is there something we fear?
E: I’m scared of nothing! No, I’m scared of worms.
I: A real Monster
K: spooky spiders
Some of our friends are also afraid of monsters.
E: I am not scared because when they touch my nose he turns in two eyes on the floor!
Afterwards we read a book, Haunted House and we saw some scary monsters and ghosts in there:
S: I see a big frog
L: they have sharp teeth
J: there something there! (pointing at a ghost)
K: It’s a ghost
L: The ghost is in bed
S: A big bat!
We played a game, where one of us is the ghost hunter (blindfolded) and the rest of the class pretended to be ghosts. We all needed to be quiet to be able to escape.
How did we feel being the ghost hunter?
E: I don’t want to be the ghost hunter, it’s scary
J: I felt brave
R: same as J
How did we feel as a ghost?
E: I felt powerful!
K: scary
Question of the day:
K: Do you think everyone feels scared sometimes?
M: I said no because I’m brave
K: I’m brave. No! (not scary)
E: I’m only afraid of scorpions because (shows a scorpions pincer)
M: if a scorpion stings you, you die
J: This is scary (sea cucumber) I don’t want to eat it
Lastly, we looked at some animals who are scary and learned that being afraid sometimes is OK. But also, it’s important to show courage and face what scares us.
E: I can stamp on spiders or angler fish.
K: I like spiders but not scary ones
