Happy Friday!
At the back of the room we had jumbo blocks laid out. R and I built lots of towers whilst Ro made a long wall with Tamara.
On the back table was lots of exciting colored pasta. H threaded some pasta on a pipe cleaner,he was super fast!! L and Liezel made matching bracelets which L was so proud of. N was fascinated by the different colors and put his hands inside the pasta bowl. He passed some pieces to S who took them and started making his own bracelet.
At the front of the room was a big piece of paper with lots of houses. Sk ran over and started coloring the houses. S saw her and got inspired and he started decorating the house with brown and blue.
On the small table, L and R were making houses with Liezel. They stuck lots of materials on the paper and L loved helping her friend R.
Lucy showed us an interesting puzzle with lots of houses. She asked “what color is the house?”
Some of our friends know their colors L knew purple. I green. L yellow. N red. The friends helped to open the houses to reveal the colored animals.
We got to experience life as different animals by roleplaying animals in the zoo. St and R were great penguins and snakes!
We used this song:

Lucy showed us a bucket with lots of water inside. When we looked closer we saw lots of colored bears. The task was to scoop the colored bears into their colored houses.
We split up into small groups and we worked on color recognition, categorizing and balance skills as we scooped up the bears from the water and into their colored houses.
Tamara had S, L and I were star scoopers who took turns sharing the spoon and had lots of fun saving the bears.
L, R, St and Sk were with Liezel scooping up bears. Sk and L scooped up lots of blue bears whilst R and St liked to get the red bears.
R, H and N were scooping up green bears with Lucy. N clapped at himself when he scooped one up. H and R were counting the bears!
After a yummy snack time we used the connecting blocks to try and build some houses of our own. S set to work and had built himself a tall tower whilst Sk was finding inventive uses for the blocks, she was creating music by clapping the blocks together.
We did our monthly fire drill today where we practised the phrase “get down low and go go go”. I said “fire!” Many times, he had a great understanding of how important fire drills are.
Today we played with the balls at the park. S was kicking the balls like a soccer super star. Sk was throwing balls with a big happy face and L was practising her balancing skills on the small wall.
We hope you have a great weekend and we are looking forward to seeing you next week. Please remember NO SCHOOL THURSDAY AND FRIDAY!
Love, Buds
