Red means STOP, Green means GO

November 19, 2025

Happy Wednesday!

What a fun day we had. This morning, E and L helped B glue white and black pieces of paper to the cardboard. B will turn this into a gift for the police officers. We wonder what it will be. At the second table we had a puzzle with cars and blocks. K, S, K and R put the puzzle together so now we were able to drive the cars all around the small town. E and L enjoyed reading with G while many of our friends were busy in our kitchen. We had a fun morning free play time.

Once we finished cleaning it was time to say, “Hello, Hello.” We sang, “Who has come to school today…” As the teacher held up the name cards K said, “K!” and E said, “E!” when they saw their name. Once all our friends put their names up we counted how many friends came to school today. We have been practicing everyday so many friends joined as we counted all the way up to 13. Today, we had 13 friends in Buds class!

Today’s story was, “No David,” by David Shannon. When E saw the cover of the book she said, “Zombie!” We learned the boy’s name is David. As we explored the book, we saw David picking his nose. We said, “No David No!” K reminded us that we need to use a tissue.

Yesterday, V showed us two round circles. When the teacher showed us the green circle, E, K, T and L said green! When the teacher showed us the red circle, we all said red! K reminded all our friends that green means go and red means stop. The teacher asked us, “Do we throw toys?” L said, “No!” The teacher held up the red sign. The teacher then asked, “What about gentle hands?” T said, “Yes!” Gentle hands is a green choice.

We all turned on our listening ears. As the teacher gave us bells. When the teacher put up the green sign we shook our bells. When we saw the red sign we stopped. The teachers said we did a great job listening. Before snack we sang jingle bells with our bells. It was so much fun.

We hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

We will see everyone on Monday. Have a great rest of your week.

Love,
Buds XOXO
