We continued our craft from yesterday and added pumpkin seeds we scooped out from our Jack-o-Lantern last week! Some of our friends finished their skeleton craft. After our crafts we packed away our toys and started our circle time as usual. Today, we talked about the month of November. We started by singing the “12 Months In A Year” song and looked at the calendar.
Petals: November!
Nimo: What do you see around the word “November”?
H: Chicken!
H: Pumpkins!
M: Leaves
E: (Number) 11.
Nimo: Great looking eyes! This one is not a chicken, it’s actually called a turkey
L: Turkey!
Nimo: We have some special events this month! We have I’s birthday party.
H: H Happy Birthday!?
E: My Happy Birthday finished. I’m 3.
Nimo: We also have 753.
Y: I know 753. We go and take pictures.
This month we will work on our cutting skills, jumping side to side, and saying “Please” and “Thank you”.
Today’s story was called “Elmer’s Special Day” by David McKee.
Nimo: What animal is this?
M: Elephant!
Nimo: He is a special because he has a name! His name is Elmer, can you say hi?
A: Hey Elmer!
L: Hi Elmer!
H: (Everyone is so) Colorful!
After we finished the story we talked a little bit more about our names.
Nimo: Our names are very special and important to us. Who do you think gave you your name?
M: No one gives me. I give myself my name M.
L: Tita!
H: Henri name come from home!
L: I got it at home.
E: Mommy give me my name
Y: My mommy give me my name!
Nimo: Please ask your mom and dad who gave you your name!
Thank you all for another fabulous day, hope you have a wonderful evening and we will see you again tomorrow.
Love,
Petals
