This Monday morning we started our day crafting and playing! Our craft today was a pumpkin! We could choose from 3 colors; yellow, orange and rust. After choosing, we cut out 6 circles and taped the pieces together to make a pumpkin shape. Then we used scissors to curl our stem and cut out a leaf! We also played in the kitchen while some friends got crafty. We made a lot of food for Nimo.
After morning free play, we had storytime. We read “Pop-Up Seasons” by Anna Milbourne. We learned the name of seasons and what we can see in each season, from colors to animals.

I : :*points at birds* Mommy, daddy and baby eat the worm!
E : Grasshopper! Butterfly!

I : Bunny sleeping! (in winter)
L : I see white! (snow)
L : Orange!
Esmi : How many seasons are there in a year?
M : 4!
Esmi : What did we make for fall?
L : Pumpkins!
E : Leaves!
M : Mushrooms!
After decorating our window with our finished crafts, we had gym class with Teacher Shoma! He taught us how to do burpees and jumping jacks. We had circle time after gym class. Today we learned how to do an emergency drill. We practiced an earthquake drill.
M : (Today is ) 29! It is sunny!
H : 1….9!(friends)
M : Fire!
I : Water put out the fire!
E : Spray with water! Call emergency.
M : Teachers call emergency!
L : Pshhh *pretends to put out the fire*
M and L : Broken. (house)
H : Fire the house bye bye!
