Thank you to all families for coming and enjoying our 2026 sports day! We had a blast and know you all did too!
This week has been building up to our main event (sports day) and our little Buds have been busy bees! We finished working on our sports day banner and medals, which look fantastic! These Buds are a very creative bunch and have enjoyed testing their fine motor control by properly holding paint brushes and applying paints, glue and more to complete their artworks!
Our friends R, H and E’s parents came to read a fun story about the moon and to also teach us about Otsukimi! We learned that a special rabbit is the main character of a traditional Japanese folktale which the Buds Class made a 2D sculpture of by adding tissue paper mochi (rice cake) balls, a big yellow moon and our very own handprints, complete with a cute rabbit smiling face!
Our new theme that follows after the integrated learning theme of seeing is… LISTENING! We practiced listening to different animal sounds and saying the animal names they were associated with. We look forward to diving into the power and sense of listening next week together too. What types of interesting sounds do you know? Try listening and guessing different ones at home together!
Thak you so much for an amazing week this week and we look forward to seeing you back on Monday!
Have a great weekend!
Love,
Buds
