We began our first day back with drawing sweet potato still art, making playdough with Nimo and using pipe cleaners to make shapes to practice our fine motor skills. We bent the pipe cleaners to make a smiley face, a triangle, a zigzag and a smile. After morning free play and making playdough, we got ready for circle time. During circle time we talked about numbers, our names and feelings.

After circle time we got ready for storytime with Laura. We read, “The Runaway Pumpkin” by Kevin Lewis. This silly book showed us what happens if a big pumpkin rolls away!
I : Not happy… (pumpkin rolling down)

E : Pumpkin! Chickens!
I : Roast of pumpkin!
E : Look, pigs!
