It was a short couple of days, but it felt nice to have everyone back in Flowers Class after the long summer break. We’re familiarizing ourselves with some of the new aspects of the classroom and daily routines and we’re ready for full days with after school classes starting next week.
CIRCLE TIME
As we began our morning circle, K mentioned he was, “sad” yesterday because we only had three friends in Flowers Class, so we were much happier with six friends today! We’re looking forward to inviting more friends next week! We had a scavenger hunt around the classroom to find all of the different morning jobs we have, where everything goes, and other interesting areas of the classroom. There’s still a lot left for us to explore next week!
GET TO KNOW US
We thought with it being the beginning of the school year, it would be good to learn more about our friends and teachers. C went first and we all tried to guess where he is from and what kind of things he likes, then he shared them with us. Next it was our turn to share something that we like.
R: I like to play LEGO and draw real things.
I: Draw. Play with teddy.
M: I like drawing. Draw toys.
E: I like getting messy! From painting and drawing.
K: I like Plarail and Brio. I have American train and Japan train.
S: Draw.
It was very nice to learn that many of us share a love of drawing as well as many other common interests.
It’s great to see longtime friendships strengthening and new ones beginning as we kick off the new school year! What awaits us? What kind of experiences will we share together? We’re excited to get started!
Have a wonderful weekend! See you all on Monday!
Love,
Flowers
