Happy Free Flow Friday! We always look forward to this day where we can be with our Buds and Petals friends and get to play in the other classrooms, too! Please remember to check our photos at the Class Dojo. After visiting the other classes, we gathered to share what we felt about Free Flow Friday.
Mi: I made origami. It was so fun!
Ai: In Buds class, there was sticky tape and we threw the ball.
Sh: In Petals, we did the puppets, and the dog was the king.
O: I make fire play dough.
Yi: The ball, I throw.
To: The penguin because it is cute.
Ma: The first one was Buds class; they put strings and throw. And in Flowers, I like the baby bathing one!
Ko: I make origami. Four cats.
Free Flow Fridays make us feel big brothers to Buds and Petals friends! We enjoyed every minute of our free play with them!
CIRCLE TIME
We talked about our collaborative canvas painting and learned more about what is going to happen to it once we finished working on it. What if all of Flowers friends want to take it home? Ma suggested, “Can we cut it into like the number of Flowers friends?”. Hmm, however we want to see our painting as a whole artwork. We paused and thought about it but could not come up with an idea. Then, Vieda said, “We will have an auction after our graduation party”. Auction?! Mi quickly reacted, “Oh, I don’t know that one! What is it?”. So, we had a pretend “auction” and after it, Sh said, “Ah I know now what auction means! It means if you want something that others also want, you need to give a huge number! Then, it can be yours!”. We are excited to know who will be the one to take home the canvas painting that we did😊
Sh asked if the “huge number” of money will go to Shelley. So, we learned from our teachers that it will be sent to Noto peninsula to help people who were affected by the earthquake. We are happy to be a part of this event that helps people.
