Easter Bunny!

Marvelous Monday!

We had a wonderful morning doing lots of arts and crafts! We finished up our sakura tree craft by tearing pink tissue paper into small bits then pasted them on our tree to add more flowers! At another table, we used our fingers to paint dots on our boomerang! We made all kinds of things with the Hexagon Blocks and played the Animal Maze game on our activity tables!

For our circle time, we welcomed a new/old friend to Petals! Her name is S and she was in Buds Class last year for a short time. Her and her family came back to Japan and she is joining Petals! We sang our Good Morning song and introduced ourselves then took a look at our calendar.

Yesterday, April 5th was Easter Sunday! We read a book about Easter called, “Max’s Chocolate Chicken” by Rosemary Wells. In the book we saw the Easter Bunny and how he hid chocolate eggs and chickens!

Nimo: Yesterday was?

M: I play with H yesterday!

H: Yes! I eat pyon pyon. We play in the park. Eat happa. Make cake in the park.

E: Yesterday for Easter we had chocolate for breakfast! Me and A

E: Easter egg?

E: I have Easter egg!

A: Easter egg yummy!

Nimo: Look a chocolate chicken! Can we eat the chicken?

S: No!

L: No, don’t eat!

K: Yes! I like chocolate!

A: I don’t like it.

Nimo: What color are the rabbits?

T: White and brown.

L: Look! Egg is brown and pink!

After our story, our teacher used a rabbit puppet and pretended it was the easter bunny! The easter bunny hit some eggs in our class and we had to go find them! When each of us got an egg the easter bunny asked us to open the eggs and inside we found some stickers we could take home!

Easter Bunny: How many friends are in Petals? Seiji, can you count for me please?

S: 1,2,3… 15 friends.

Shoma came just as we finished our easter egg hunt game and we had a great time moving our bodies! We also went to step park and enjoyed playing in the sun!

Thank you all for another fabulous day! We hope you have a wonderful evening and we will see you all again tomorrow!

Love,

Petals
