Desert Food Chains

Good afternoon,

Today we looked at animals in the desert and how they hunt. For free play we played with sand, made cacti out of matchsticks and playdoh and had habitat puzzles. We learned some big words like predator and prey.

We went to the park and on the way, we saw a SNAKE! Everyone was so excited because this week we are looking at the desert and snakes also live in the desert.

After a discussion we tried to move our bodies to try and hunt like different animals. We practiced picking bugs with a clip like scorpion.

We slithered like snakes, and we made paper airplanes to see how hawks swoop down on their prey.

Have a great evening,

Flowers
