Can we change our eyes?

Wednesday September 17th
Good afternoon everyone,
Today was another warm day so we went out to the park early and then during circle time we had so much fun learning about our eyes.
Circle time
In Flowers class we have been talking a lot about our big feelings and how to calm down. We discussed what Yoga was.
Pe: gym class
Sh: it’s a calming sport
Ju: it looks like a sport
E: stretching
En: you move your legs and you can do it before you do big sports

E: I know this. It has a tail so ti is a mouse.
We tried the mouse pose and worked on our breathing

It was a peacock pose. We had so much fun learning about our bodies and how flexible they can be!
Next we played a game. “guess whose eyes”

Then we read a book all about eyes.
En: this book is about our eyes
Ju: I can blink
Question of the day
M: eyes can change?
E: can we change our eyes?
S: can our eyes change?
We counted how many friends said yes and how many friends said no.
Se: No is 5
K: yes is 7
En: there is more yes people.
J: I can change my eyes at a hotel
Ju: I don’t like change eyes.
S: I can change my eyes. I can change the shape
M: I can look down and up.
We played a fun game to see how our eyes can change. We had to make different faces (happy or sad or angry etc) but hiding our mouths so we had to work really hard on changing our eyes and nose. Lots of the flowers friends liked to make silly faces.
It was so fun to express ourselves and be silly sometimes.
