BOO!

Welcome back! We hope you all enjoyed the weekend and are ready to jump into the first full week of school

Storytime book today: Little Quack’s Bedtime by Lauren Thompson

This morning on the front table, we were greeted by some spooky silly ghosts! They needed our help to help them get ready for Halloween by sticking on bits of fluffy cotton! T and R jumped up, grabbed a chair and went right to work, gently placing bits of cotton just right. L, Y and E also came over to wrap up their ghosts by investigating the sticky steps on top and then gently patting their cotton onto their ghost bodies.

On the back table, there were board puzzles out with some of our favorite pictures! H collected the fruit pieces and stamped them into place with a smile. L explored the latch and buckle board, showing T how to open some of the hidden doors. Thank you!

In the free play area, the duplo blocks were set out and ready for us to build! S and R built a castle and roadway together for their buddies to come and visit! T and T both stopped by for a visit. BEEP! BEEP!

Before we knew it, it was time for us to clean up and get ready for our friend Shoma sensei to arrive! Before we started, we danced to the Eric Carle sing a long song “I Can Do It”. Today, we reviewed moving our bodies like animals but we also had the exciting chance to practice an assisted cartwheel! Brandon joined and helped lift some of our friends in the air to safely spin our bodies! What fun! It was so much fun for us to say that we can do a cartwheel! We can do it! We love you Shoma sensei! By the way, mom and dad, can you do a cartwheel?

When we wrapped up, we got dressed for the park and went to play!

Thanks for an amazing day back, everyone!

Love,

Buds XOXO
