Henry has arrived
Today was a bright and sunny day, not only because the sun was shining but also because we heard that a Karl has a new baby brother called Henry. He arrived at midnight and we can’t wait to meet him. Our teachers tell us that we were all babies once upon a time, and we can see when we look at the photos in our Life Books; but we can’t really remember.
When we went to the park, we all wore our sunhats and we couldn’t believe how busy it was. We think that it was because we left a little later than usual, since we have our KIDFIT class on a Friday.
We continued learning about our brains and used scoops with balls, a parachute, held hands with partners and had fun. We relaxed at the end of the lesson and listened to soft gentle music. Our teachers placed a recipe inside our backpacks which we received from our instructor.
During the morning we made a card for Moko sensei to say thank you to her for the fabulous energetic taiko workshop that she did for us yesterday. We made a small book with drawings and photos of us playing taiko with her. We hope that she likes it and we are looking forward to doing more taiko in the new school year.
These photos here show you how much we help one another in our class; and almost all of the time, it is without our teachers asking us. Here you can seeLilian and Alexander, helping put Luka’s indoor shoes back on, after he had taken them off. They took a long time and eventually needed one of their teachers to help them with the final push. These moments are precious moments for us, for our teachers and our friends. This is when we show them how much we care about one another; how much we have learnt from one another; how we can do so many things without our teachers or an adult; and most important of all, the love that we have for our friends in our class.
We had a lovely new teacher called Sayaka who came to spend the day with us. Hisami said that it didn’t feel like there was someone new in the classroom today because she instinctively new what to do and showed us what a wonderful teacher she is. She played with us, read stories to us and introduced herself very politely to us. We enjoyed having her in our class today.
Shelley still does not have her voice back so Hisami sang the “Tulip song” and “The Cabbage and Caterpillar song” in Japanese. We love singing these songs and especially like seeing the 3D props coming out of the cabbage.
We hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and the weather stays dry, especially for Moko sensei as she is going to be playing taiko at the Nishimachi Flea Market.
We hope that Anja, Karl’s mummy is resting after Henry’s birth and we, once again, wish Felix, Anja, Karl and the whole family, congratulations and welcome Henry!
Last but not least, we would like to wish all of our mums and all the women who care for us in our lives, a “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY”. You are all mothers to us. We love you very much and appreciate everything you do for us. May your day be filled with hugs, kisses, and all good things. See you all on Monday and then on Tuesday for our MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST.
Love always Shelley, Hisami, Liezel, Nanako, Ayaka and Goh.
