Happy birthday, Hisami and the Bakery visit
Good morning, Buds class! We have another great day in the classroom and we are very glad to see our friends again. Some of us came by taxi today and most of us walked to school or came by bicycle. Truly, we’re always excited to come and see the wonderful adventures that we’re going to have in Buds class.
On our activity tables, we found some sorting boards and stacking blocks. There were also puzzle pieces that we had on the other table. Beside the big tables, we also saw our sensory table and there we found some leaves, flowers and vibrant straws with a little bit of fragrance. We used the magnifying glasses to have a closer look at the things that we found on the table. We were very curious about what’s on there so we spent a lot of time investigating. It was also very nice to stimulate our curiosity in the classroom.
On our art table, we did the doughnut art. We painted on our paper plate. We had to choose one color for our doughnuts. We had yellow, red and brown. We imagined that we had the strawberry, banana and chocolate flavor. We then used the shredded pieces of paper as sprinkles. So, we used the right amount of sprinkles on our doughnuts. It was so enjoyable that we couldn’t stop painting and sprinkling.
We had to have an early snack because we’re going to celebrate Hisami’s birthday. She’s teaching Petals class with Shelley and Liezel. So, all of the Ohana classes went down to Buds classroom to join us for the birthday party. We lit three candles for her and made feel very special today. We gave the wonderful and colorful cards that we made. Each class made it for her and we hope that she’ll read the message and know how much we love her being at Ohana. Thank you so much Hisami for everything and have a fantastic birthday celebration! During our circle time, We sang “Jingle bells” and “Santa Claus is coming to town”. We only had a short time because we’re expecting some visitors in our classroom.
We went to the bakery. There, we found lots of food and drinks. We saw different types of pastries and we just loved to munch all of them. The shop assistant in the bakery shop gave a small talk to us about what’s going on in the shop. She was speaking in Japanese so Nanako translated the things she said to us in English. We then bought some things from the bakery, just like what we did yesterday with Sharee but this time, it’s real. After that, we went to Roppongi hills and saw a beautiful park next to the TV asahi building. That was a long walk so some of us went straight to bed when we arrived at school.
Thank you so much Ohana for the wonderful day. Hope to see you all next week. It’s the last week of the term and time really flies. Have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
All the children from Buds class
