Easter Bunnies and Eggs
Hello Tuesday! The Buds are ready for a new day again! Today was raining outside so we have to stay in our classroom for the rest of the day. But it was okay because we know that our teachers prepared many activities just for us. First, we continued working on our Easter egg art and Sofia enjoyed sticking the art materials on the paper. Rupert chose the yellow egg and he thinks that he should be using more yellow sticks and tissue paper. On the other
table, Dominik was busy preparing a cake for his teachers. He said that he was making a chocolate cake and he would also want us to try it. Alexa and Yurika played with the fire truck and some buses and cars from the box. And Nikolas put his favorite helmet on and he continued to walk around the classroom to find some more toys to play with.
In our circle time, we played the accordion. It was making a funny sound but it was also very entertaining for all of us. We waited patiently for each one of us to have
our turn and Rupert was so happy to try it. Sofia and Sofie were always saying that they wanted to volunteer. John helped us on how to hold the accordion properly and he said that we were so good at playing it. We were also singing our good morning song while we played with our instrument. It was a great start for our circle time for we always want music to be part of our classroom routine.
And then, our teachers told us a story about Easter. It was a very nice story and we learned about Jesus who was taken by an angel to live again. The book also described the different things we can do during Easter holiday. We learned about Easter bunnies and eggs. We saw some pictures of them too. They said that they also hide the eggs around the village and the people would have to find them for good luck. And sometimes, the Easter bunny would also find some eggs and take them away from them. We also learned that some people celebrate Easter by gathering together and eat with their relatives or loved ones. It was a nice book because it clearly explains how other
religions value this kind of celebration. And then, our teachers told us to find some Easter eggs around the classroom. Maki pretended to be the Easter bunny and she was also chasing some of us because she wanted to get some eggs too. At the end of the game, Maki and the Easter bunny did not get anything. They were both sad so we decided to give them a big hug instead. Their faces became brighter and we all continued to play with one another before doing our art activities.
Our art table was filled with bottles and tray. Our teachers asked us to paint on them and they said that we will be using these bottles in the future. After painting on them, Dominik and Sofia got some rubbing cloth from Sayaka and they helped her to wipe the table. We are all growing up so fast and we learned to become more and more responsible each day. Our teachers thanked them and we moved along with our indoor activities.
During our playtime, our teachers put out a tunnel cloth. We all had fun going inside the tunnel. It was a great experience for us to practice our gross motor skills. We also had the foamed dart board and ball. Dominik, Kaia and Sofie tried their best to hit the right target. Also, Sofie and Dominik put on their costumes. Sofie said that she wanted to be Peter Pan and Dominik showed his interest of becoming Spider-Man and John helped to climb on the wall.
Thank you teachers for the wonderful learning experience. Hope you’ll have a wonderful day. Hope to see you all again tomorrow!
Lots of love,
John, Sayaka and Maki
