The Farm Animals' Surprise

??????????We had a lovely morning in Buds class again. Starting with beautiful Leanne who never failed to give us a big smile on a princess dress, she said that she wanted to have her picture taken this way. Ritsuka was also busy playing with the lego blocks for?????????? she was making her own house. And Yurika went to the library to take one book from the shelf, she loves looking at the alligator book. ?????????? It was a great feeling for us to get to know our friends more. We also started playing and having a marvelous time with each other. It is also very nice to be with our teachers who are always patient and?????????? trying their very best to take care of us even though our number is getting bigger.

During circle time, we sang the “hello song” and “good morning song”. These songs make us get to know our friends’ names even better and we think that we’re learning more about ourselves and the people around us. Then, John took out a box with a farm illustration. And we knew that we’re in for something really nice today. And yes! One by one, we saw different farm animals inside the box. Each animal sang a song and introduced themselves. We just love hearing their funny voices and sound that they make. They make us giggle and excited to hear the story more.

??????????  After learning their names and hearing their funny voices, we listened to the story of the Farm Animal Surprise! The story was all about a horse who would like to play with his friends but it seemed that everyone had no time for him. The horse didn’t know that the cow, sheep, dog, chicken and the little mouse were?????????? preparing a birthday party for him. When the horse got really bored, he thought that maybe he should just go home and forget about his friends in the farm. But all of a sudden, his friends surprised him and they sang, “Happy birthday to you…”The horse jumped, galloped and danced with joy because he realized that his friends were giving him a very special birthday party. They all celebrated his birthday full of laughter and happiness all day long!

?????????? We also did a group work but we have to take turns again because our table is a bit small to accommodate everyone. But we got our paintbrushes and paint to work on our box. We just used the white paint for now because John said that it is ??????????going to be cow. But we will find that out later this week. Yurika used her hands to paint everything with white and Kaia patiently used her small brush and made some rough strokes on our cow. Riku who was very quiet managed to paint on some parts.

????????????????????On the other table, Ritsuka and Leanne were very focused in doing their color book. They also learned white and black just like what we did yesterday. Sofia was here in our class too. At first, she was a bit worried about her surroundings and she would call out her mom every now and then but the good thing about today was she actually listened to our puppet show about the farm animals. She was with Maki and she never took her eyes off of what was happening during our circle time. She liked to see the horse and the mouse. We could tell that there was a slight smile when she was watching our show. Good job Sofia!

??????????  As our teachers promised today, we went to the PARK! We missed exploring, digging in the sand, playing with the slides and swing. We are very happy to have our chance playing with Petals class again. And Karl never missed his opportunity of getting the orange bucket from the sand pit. He went straight to the sink in the park and he poured water in it. He then got this big rock and he put it in the pail too. He eventually said that it was his big whale in the bucket!

Again, it was a beautiful day in Ohana! See you again tomorrow!      Lots of love, John, Sayaka and Maki
