Welcome Rupert and Japanese Calligraphy

??????????Today, we welcomed Rupert to Buds class. He is a fine boy who likes bus, trains, cars and different vehicles. He was very curious to see his surroundings and would always look around the classroom and people that he may see. We felt that Rupert has been here in our class for quite a while because he never showed any sadness during his stay. Great job Rupert!??????????                 ??????????Leanne and Kaia were having a birthday party. It was Leanne’s birthday as she said (pretended play). She also showed everyone that she’s going to call her friends to show up for her party. She seemed very excited to dial their phone numbers so that they could come as soon as possible.??????????

?????????? On the other hand, Karl and Hana were having a picnic under the table. Hana was carrying her baby and she said that the baby was hungry and needed to eat some snacks so Karl tried to help her out setting up the picnic mat on the floor and he also proceeded taking his food out. Karl said that the bee was hungry too so he brought a lot of food today.??????????

??????????On our circle time, we sang songs like “Wheels on the bus, I’m a little teapot and how’s the weather today?” The kids looked outside when they were asked about the weather. Karl instantly replied that it was sunny. Some of the kids didn’t agree with him because they thought that it was cloudy. And Karl explained that “if there is a white cloud, it covers the moon up there”. Everybody looked at him and he explained it further that “at night the moon is up there”.

??????????It was also great to see our gym teacher Tanaka-sensei. He’s very energetic and he knows how to play with us. At first, we did some warm-up exercises and he made us do some funny movements and calisthenics to start off his class.

Tanaka-sensei also taught us how to crawl like a bear and a crocodile, and to jump like a frog and a rabbit. After that, we also did some running around the space but when Tanaka-sensei would blow his whistle, we would have to act out as a lion, a dolphin and a monkey. It was fun doing these activities because they didn’t only give us great physical exercises but also they gave us a sense of love and belongingness.

??????????Then off we went to the park, we did the same routine as always. We greeted everybody whom we would pass by. We also love to sing songs on our way to the park because in this way, it made us very excited to see the park and to play with each other there again. Hana, Haruto, Dominik were digging in the sand pit. When we asked them about it, they said that they were making some tunnels around the park. They were serious about their job. We think that they are going to build great things in the future.??????????

??????????On the other hand, Kaia and Karl were fishing in the park as well. Karl lined up the leaves and he put the triangular-shaped leaf on the other side. He said that this leaf was the stingray so we have to be careful. Thus, we left all the fish and the stingray at the park because we didn’t want to disturb them at all.

?????????? Lastly, we had our Japanese calligraphy. Haruto and Dominik did the first session for today. And they seemed to be very interested in making them. Thank you Sayaka for helping us doing this activity.??????????

Love,

John, Sayaka and Maki
