Pick me a winner!
This morning, we strongly focused on fine motor activities. Many of us finished gluing the roots onto the sweet potatoes from our previous activity, as they were finally dry! We even completed some new green granny smith apple shapes to add to our apple tree. We used our fingers to peel and stick green stickers onto the green paper to resemble a bright green apple! We sang a new good morning song and read the story “The Scarecrow’s Wedding”!
On the front table, there were animal shape puzzles and wooden kinetic toys set up. D tested his strength with the color mallet game, quickly hammering the pegs one by one. He is very good at aiming! L and N really enjoyed putting them together! N was excited to do them over and over with her friends saying “again, again!”. In the play space, there were large Lego blocks available where I and T proudly completed a rainbow tower! Great work! Nearby, N built a VERY tall Lego car! Way to go balancing all those blocks! He even gave it away to D to enjoy!
L and M used great determination to peel and stick their stickers all over their apples! It’s sometimes not easy to use our fingers but they never gave up! B helped some of his friends glue down sweet potato roots to our art collab, which will be hung up in the classroom. Thank you for being such a caring friend B!
When it was time to clean up, we nicely packed away our things and quickly gathered for circle time. Once there, we sang a new style of good morning song and read the autumn favorite, “The Scarecrow’s Wedding”. It was about two scarecrows that wished to have a big beautiful wedding with the help of many farm animals! A was very interested in the book’s illustrations as she watched the story unfold with big eyes!
Shortly after snack time, we got ready and left for our park outing! Since the weather was a bit rainy, we took a long stroll through the neighborhood and discovered new paths. It’s always fun to explore new locations! Have you been somewhere new lately?
Have a wonderful evening!
Love,
Buds
