Auction Birthday Party
We want to say "Thank You” to Ak san (Ri’s mom), Su (Ra’s mom)and Ra’s brother and sister for joining us today to celebrate Ra and Ri’s birthdays. It was a pleasure to be with you all on this special day.
Are you ready to have some fun? Today's question of the day sounds exciting! “What is fun?” some of our friends asked who weren’t at school yesterday. Several of our friends giggled; and announced, "It’s a Birthday Party!” It seemed like everyone was ready for a fun time since we all put our names in the "yes” column.
In the morning, we saw two bags by the door, and were wondering what they was for. We also had a short free play time; on one table, we had a huge white construction paper for free drawing. We thought it would be nice to draw something for Ra and Ri. Some of us drew a castle and princess while others drew hearts in different colors. Then we had an early snack time. Later we all got ready, made sure we had everything we needed and headed to Step park.
Our birthday party celebration brought a lot of fun and excitement with many awesome party games, such as a puppet show, parachute game, sack races and face painting that our teachers prepared and planned for us.
It was a "Special” birthday party for Ri and Ra in Flowers Class. It wasn’t like a regular birthday party that we usually have in Flowers Class! "Why?” most of us were wondering.
Vieda then explained that it was from the Ohana Auction last year "Auction Sa”, H commented.
We welcomed all our special guests who joined us for the big Auction party and then we gathered together and sat in a circle.
We started our circle time with our hello song to get to know everyone’s names.
Vieda then asked Ri and Ra to sit with their moms, brother, and sister. What do we need when there’s a birthday? Our birthday celebrants asked a friend to give them the crown and the birthday card. Now, they looked like a birthday boy and a birthday girl.
Then we sang our birthday song and started our puppet show. We were all delighted to see Olaf and his friends Elsa and Anna, who came to celebrate Ri and Ra’s Birthday. Along with them came a boy who we called "Kristoff/ Lana” too! We sang the song "Let It Go” from our favorite Frozen movie and shared our wishes with our celebrants.
When we came back to school, we had a short circle time. We each shared our thoughts and feelings about the fun birthday party.
Ky: I like the puppet show.
Ti: I like the puppet show when Olaf says, "Hello!” My favorite part was when Elsa was talking to Ri.
Be: I Iike puppet show.
Hi: I like R’s mommy.
Ri: I like the song.
Au: I like to take the candies home.
T: Maybe we can look at the goodie bags later.
Ka: I like the puppet show.
We had our face painting with Vieda, Cameron, and Liezel.
Since we were wearing masks, we thought of some ways we could paint. Some of us had painted butterflies, horses, flowers, and crowns, on our foreheads, arms, and hands, because our cheeks were hiding underneath our masks.
We said Thank you to R and Ra for sharing with us some goodie bags to take home.
We couldn’t wait for one of the most special things about a birthday party! We know that it cannot be a birthday without a cake. Just before our lunch, Ri and Ra blew their candles on their cupcakes, and we each had our share for our special dessert. Cupcakes for dessert. How lucky were we!
We hope that you can have such a fabulous party when it is your birthday.
Hope you have a great evening!
Love,
Flowers Class
