Wash your hands
Good day everybody! It was a perfect time to go outside again. We went for a walk during the latter part of the day and we realized that it was almost lunch time so we had to hurry back and have our meals.
During the morning free play time, we got some Megablocks, a pail, a tray and detergent soap on the table. The reason why we have them was because we wanted to wash them. Some of our friends were quite helpful and we finished cleaning all of it in no time. Thank you friends for being so proactive.
On the other table, there were puzzles and our friends were so into these toys nowadays so it was a great time for all of us to practice our tracking and fine motor skills. In terms of problem solving skills, it was a good experience wherein one of us was trying to match the piece according to the shape and orientation of the picture.
We packed our toys away and got ready for our gym class. First, we did our morning songs with John and then Kaji-sensei came with another gym teacher. It was Turumi-sensei. He’s going to take over our gym class starting in April. So, we like to thank Kaji-sensei for a job well done and playing with us.
Here are some activities that we did with our gym teachers today:
· The Superman pose
Bear walk
· Running back and forth
· Somersault
· Jumping practice
· Stretching activity
For our circle time, we learned more about our hand washing. We also talked about the steps that we have to remember to properly do it. Here are the steps.
Step 1: Rub your hands together
Step 2: Rub the back of your hands
Step 3: Interlock your fingers and rub
Step 4: Clean your fingernails
Step 5: Don’t forget to clean your thumb
Step 6: Rinse, rinse your hands with water.
Half of the class got the opportunity to demonstrate the steps. Then, the rest of us were able to perform with Goh san at the sink. It was very informative and we definitely learned something today.
Thank you so much Ohana for another great day!
Lots of love,
