Australian Day!

Good day everyone! The weather is rainy again but you know what we’re still excited to know what we’re going to do  for today. As we got inside the room, there were some cut-out felt paper shapes with the popsicle sticks. We remembered that we did this yesterday with John’s circle time. Today, it was just us who need to do the activity and our teachers observed us how to play with it.

The other table was filled with Hina Matsuri art activity again. So, most of us were able to do it and we were quite happy how it turned out to be. We are all proud of what we have done so far. Well done Buds friends!

For our circle time, John asked us to gather  around and we all sat  down nicely and listened to our friends. Our friend Howard came to our class and did  a little bit of dress up  with the costumes we have on our dress rack. At the end of the session, Howard looked so fabulous and it was nice to see him like this in Buds class.

Next, our friend Ha and his mom Reb came to our class for a presentation (according to Ham). They introduced their home country and they are from Australia! Rebecca showed us a wonderful cut-out  of the Australian map. In the map, we saw amazing illustrations of the different animals that we could find from Australia like the kangaroo, koala bear, kookaburra and Uluru (a famous rock in the middle of the desert).

Reb also put out a koala bear puppet and it was so adorable. She also read the  book called Koala eat gum leaves. It was a koala who got sick of eating gum leaves and  then tried to eat something more delicious—ice cream! It was so hilarious and  we all loved it.

Lastly, B and Ham gave us some Anzac cookies. It was so good! We got to take them home to share with our family. Thank you so much for a fantastic presentation. Sending hugs and love always!

We did a little bit more of play time after the presentation. We looked at more books and enjoyed playing with our Lego blocks.

Thank you so much Ohana for another beautiful day and see you all for our  yearbook photo day.

        Lots of love,

      Buds Class Children
