Today our Buds Class closed out the week by finishing up scents! We smelled coriander and cloves today! They were what we call “spicy”. During our circle time, we got a chance to smell them and it seems like the cloves were our new favorite!
We practiced squeezing the grabber scissors to pick up pom poms and place them into cups. Another fun activity we engaged in involving the squeeze motion were using scissors to cut straight lines on some people figures who had long hair! The hair on the paper is long enough and gives us plenty of room for practicing using scissors to cut paper! What a challenge!
This week we were all very busy with finishing up our pumpkin poster collaboration, we used small finger movements to glue on and secure special small treasures like shiny sequins, brown and orange tissue papers and brown and purple yarn! It was very sticky to use the glue but still lots of fun! Yay!
We moved our bodies to practice rolling with Rina Sensei by laying flat and turning ourselves sideways to roll along the giant green mat. We love staying active and Rina helps teach us how to move our bodies and challenge us in new and exciting ways. Today, we also got active with Annie Sensei during dance class and today we stretched in a new way by making a superman pose! First we got down and laid on our belly and then pushed our arms up, stretching our legs. We looke dlike we were flying!
Not long after, we ate up our snacks and went for a walk around the neighborhood and found a green lizard! Brandon tried to catch it to show us but it ran away so fast!
Thank you all for a fantastic week and have a wonderful and safe weekend!
Love,
Buds
