Happy Tuesday! As we continued with our theme this week, we tried to create something using a hammer. It was a little strange to make crafts with a hammer. First of all, Vieda showed us how to hold a hammer and how to use to pound a surface. After a several times of working on the hammer, we were happy to see some paint spots on a white paper before it got covered with bubble wrap. Guess what we did? We held the hammer and enjoyed pounding the paint spots which made some of the bubble to pop (although we could not hear them pop!) and the paint to splatter! We just realized how much fun it was to make a painting craft with a hammer. We were surprised to see what we had just created. Please look forward to this craft!
For morning activities, we had lots of fun completing puzzles. Some of us enjoyed doing it on our own, while some of our friends liked completing them with their friends. These puzzle activities give us opportunities to work on our recognition of shapes, patterns and colors. Once we complete a puzzle, we feel happy and proud which builds our self-esteem．In the kitchen area, we enjoyed pretending to cook, serve, and wash kitchen items.
For story time, we read the book “Lemons are NOT Red!” by Laura Seeger. Buds friends were impressive as they identiifed the items in the book during story time.

After singing our Hello Song, we went on to talk about hammers. We held and counted the hammers that we used for our morning craft. Before the end of this week, we will explore on the ways hammers can be used. We can’t wait to find out!
