Morning Free play: Every morning we are making a cardboard loom! Yesterday we made one from a square, today we threaded some holes in a circle! When we finished our craft, we played at the paper strip weaving table, or with the magnet shapes!
K: Look! Red triangle. (He stacked them up) Rocket!
K: I have these Magnet shapes at home!
T: I make pizza! I like pizza. Mommy and Tiger eat pizza. Daddy doesn’t eat pizza.
S: I want to do this one (Paper strip weaving) I like blue.
T: (Playing with the magnet shapes) Look! Car! Vroom!
R: (Threading activity) I tied them all together! Can I take it home?
For circle time we reviewed the shapes we went over yesterday, the square, triangle, circle. Today we looked at a star shape, heart, and the crescent. As we looked at pictures of each of the shapes we used our hands and arms to make the shape!
S: Square!
T: I make triangle like this!
K: Look! Circle!
Nimo: Who knows these shapes?
T: Heart.
S: Star!
K: Moon (crescent).
We sang the shapes song and then whatever shape our teachers said, we looked around the classroom to find it! Before we went to the park, we added paper ribbons to our Hula Hoop! It looks very nice!
We had a great time playing with Flowers Class at Step Park! They shared with us their giant chalk! If we come home with colorful clothes, that’s because we accidentally got some chalk on it!
Thank you all for another fabulous day! Have a great evening and we will see you all again tomorrow!
Love,
Petals
