Postcard Fun!

Happy Monday! We welcomed Nimo (Petals Class teacher) to Buds today for teacher exchange. We’re happy that he will be able to be with us today and tomorrow.

For morning activities, we started working on our postcards. Our teachers were impressed at how well we remembered about our postcards project. We were so excited to decorate them by putting stickers and drawing pictures. T was happy with his postcard and said, “I want to put it in my backpack today!”. When he was reminded that we will mail them, he said, “It’s for my house!”. Then, T joined the table and happily drew pictures on her postcard. She said, “This is mommy, daddy!”. We can’t wait to put our postcards in the mailbox.

On another table, our hands got busy with pouring activities. It was our first time pouring water from one container to another. We grabbed the cup and tried our best to pour the water into another cup. Sometimes we spilled the water in the tray, and it was okay. We kept on pouring until were able to pour more water into the cup. In another tray, we used a spoon to transfer the beans to another bowl. Another activity that we enjoyed doing at the sensory table was picking the colorful macaroni from a small dish to another small dish. These activities made our small muscles in our fingers and hands work harder. We can’t wait to try these activities again!

After morning snack time, we got ready for Shoma Sensei’s Young Athletes class. We took the challenge to throw and catch balls. We worked on focusing on the ball and trying to catch the ball with both our arms open. It was a little challenging to throw and catch the ball, but we tried our best!

We can’t wait to continue our adventures in Buds tomorrow!

Have a restful evening!

Lots of love,

Buds XOXO
