Earth Day!
We added another shade of gray on our mikoshi painting then played at the Junk Loose Parts table and magnet shapes while our friends got ready for our long adventure to Arisugawa Park! We were going to have a picnic with all of our other friends at Step Park so we packed our lunches, water bottles, and a set of spare clothes just in case. While we walked to Arisugawa Park we continued our circle time discussion from Monday and Tuesday.
M: Earth Week!
E: It’s Earth Day today!
Nimo: Today we are keeping the lights off to Reduce electricity (consumption). We talked about Reduce on Monday, then we talked about Refuse yesterday. What does refuse mean?
M: Say no
K: No thank you!!
Nimo: When we go shopping, and the shop staff asks you, “Would you like a bag?” What do you say?
A: I like bag!
T: No thank you!
S: *Made a big X with her arms.
Nimo: When you go to a cafe and the staff asks you if you would like a straw you say?
Y: No!
Nimo: I once heard a story that a straw went inside a turtle’s nose.
L: Oh no
A: It’s ouchie
H: Turtle…
K: No plastic.
When we arrived at Arisugawa Park we used the restroom and drank some water.
M: We played with Mummies and Daddies here (Baseball field for Sports Day)
E: Yesterday Aiden had sports day
M: (What is this game?) Tennis!
T: I don’t do Tennis. Daddy do.
E: My mom does Tennis
A: Hit the ball and wooosh!
We went to a small hidden area at Arisugawa park and searched the area for anything interesting. We found beautiful leaves, seeds, acorns, cicada shells, spiders, and flowers! After a little adventure, we made our way to Step Park to plant pretty flowers! We had lunch together with Buds and Flowers then went back to school!
Thank you all for another fabulous day! Have a wonderful evening and we will see you again tomorrow!
Love,
Petals
