Police

February 2, 2026

Happy Monday! It’s February! It’s a short month, but we have a lot planned. Let’s have a great month!

QUESTION OF THE DAY

S & K: Do you know what police do?

E: It’s their job to put them in jail.
S: Catch bad people. They check the handprints and footprints and so they know.
E: They know where bad guys are because all around the world there’s special cameras.
J: Maybe police catch bad guys. Police came to my house on a bicycle and catch the bad guy.
K: Sometimes if there’s a fire, the police come too.
R: I go to Hong Kong, I see TV people change shirt on the beach and police catch him. In Honk Kong you can’t change clothes on the beach. Japan has many bad guys. Police put them in jail. If someone get lost, police can find. One time, J’s umbrella flew away from his hand and police take it and J’s mommy get it back.
K: Sometimes police look in the building. Look for bad guys. Some people take money and run away.
S: One day we went somewhere and we didn’t have the keys. We thought it was a bad guy but it was just one of our workers.
S: Tokyo is safe.

We learned that police don’t just catch bad guys, they can help us in all kinds of situations. To be a good police officer, you need to be a good listener so that you know how to help. Police are also good at asking questions to learn more. We played a game where we played as police detectives and needed to look at a situation, and ask questions to learn what happened.

Our first instinct was to start asking people if they where the one who did it, but we soon found out that method took a long time. J found some great questions to make the investigation go quicker.

J: Did you see what happened? Do you know who did it?

We soon found out that more people saw what happened or had useful information than who actually did it. It was fun to investigate a scene to learn more. We also had fun being a bit cheeky with the police officers and sometimes withholding everything we knew or leading them in a different direction.

Have a wonderful evening. See you tomorrow!

Love,
Flowers ❤️
