Welcome back Buds families!
Today we welcomed a new Buds friend to our class! Welcome to the Buds Class K! We are so happy to have you!
At the front table, we continued working on our Setsubun oni bags! These bags are so cute and they are a great way for us to work with shapes and practice proportions by making a face with features like eyes and more!
Over at the back table, the Buds friends requested the puzzle town once more, as it too is a fun way for us to explore shapes and create a town! We love building with blocks and their shapes help us recognize familiar structures in our neighborhood.
In the free play area, we explore more with larger blocks by stacking them to make towers and other fun creations!
Before we knew it, it was time to enjoy our snacks and get ready for Shoma Sensei!
Today in Young Athletes Class, we practiced jumping and landing carefully with both feet. It was lots of fun to hop like Shoma and to also crawl like animals.
Shoma invited us to try something called a plank. That is where we hold up our bodies like a table, with our arms stretched out straight. It was challenging but still lots of fun to follow along with Shoma!
After we waved bye-bye to Shoma, we all put our jackets on and set out to discover sights around our neighborhood. Today, our mission was to walk safely to the library! The library has lots of interesting artwork and of course…BOOKS! We walked up the stairs of the library to find that there were many kids books ready for us to open up. Yay! We love reading new books! The teachers were impressed by how gentle everyone was when handling the books and delicately turning their pages.
***REMINDER!*** Please sign up for international months as we would love for you to come and share about your family heritage!
Thanks for an awesome day back everyone!
Love,
Buds
