This morning, our friends K, L and H all worked very hard and completed their wonderful illustration and sticker artworks! They all have such a wonderful and unique expression of their love of color, lines and pattern. These are some truly artistic Buds friends!
On top of the back table, there was a jumbo puzzle set out with the exciting picture of a fire station! This helped ignite our excitement even more as we will be visiting the fire station tomorrow together! Yay!
In the free play area, there were our beloved felt donuts out, ready to serve our friends and teachers. We spied some other delicious food items to play with like fish, apples and more. It’s great to make a pretend meal for our friends! Yum!
CIRCLE TIME
Today, for circle time, each Bud friend was invited to pick and place their name card as usual. We also answered the question “what is this place?” when Brandon held up a picture of a house. We also were very brave to count out our number cards aloud!
T: “home”
Brandon: “Is L or K here today?”
T: “no, home”
T, T and K: “1”
K: “ni” (2)
K and T: “3, 4”
N: “5”
Ki: “6-10”
Amazing work counting together!
We reviewed red and green choices too. When Brandon held up the green and red colors, he asked “what is this?”
K: “green, go” and “red, stop”
Brandon: “Is it ok to scratch a friend?”
T: “no”
K: “no”
To celebrate our visit to the fire station tomorrow, the teachers presented us with an amazing interactive book that we could move and touch. It was called “My Little Red Fire Truck” by Stephen T. Johnson. It was so exciting to see all of the moving parts, tools and even fill up the fire truck with pretend petrol to prepare it for going out on a call! Wow!
Brandon: “What color is this fire truck?”
T: “red”
Before we knew it, it was time for us to take off to the park and play!
Have an amazing afternoon everyone!
Lots of love,
Buds XOXO
