Happy Friday! We can’t believe how quickly time passed by this week. Just as we thought the weather was getting cooler, the temperature went up again today😊 But it was okay because that meant we could have fun doing water play! Yay!
For a table activity, we enjoyed pretending to cut hair off a cardboard person. Short and colorful construction papers were glued on the cardboard and we had fun cutting them one by one.
For circle time, we worked on expressing which animal we like (lion or cat) by placing our photos around the animal. Then, we tried our best to say, “I like lion/cat”. We noticed that not everyone had the same answer, which meant some like lion while some like cat. Yes, we like different things, and it is okay. During this activity, Li and Ka quickly recognized the animal pictures and said:
Li: Cat!
Ka: Lion!
Ty: I like lion!
We’ll explore more next week to get to know what our friends like and may not like. We will try incorporating simple math to understand the concept of more and less.
We tried to do a different set of face puzzles. Vieda showed us a part of the face and some of our friends were able to quickly identify them!

What do we look at to recognize our friend’s face puzzle? It seemed like we could tell whose face puzzle it is even by just looking at their eyes! Will we be able to identify our friends by looking at other parts of their face? Let’s find out next week!
SPIN AND SHINE
Many thanks to Maryna for coming to Buds today. We enjoyed dancing to the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and Circle Hunt. It was our first time doing the Circle Hunt song and we were excited to see several circle items such as pizza, basketball and orange.
