Hello everyone!
Today we started our day by working on our Sports Day banner. We also helped cut the doll’s hair to strengthen our fine motor skills.
S: yellow (paint)
K: Can I use this paint?
M: Is this for Sports Day? I can do this pose
J: This is muscle
Since it started raining, we opted to stay indoors and burn some of our energy by dancing to our favorite nursery rhymes.
R: Birthday freeze dance
M: Floor is lava
J: freeze dance
E: can we do one more?
R: Chuchuwa
E: too silly!
Once we settled down in our spot, we reviewed what we have been learning.
- Classroom Rules
J: you need to listen and raise your hand
Can we say me! me! me!?
E: No
I: *made a quiet gesture
- Review

What did we learn with Lucy?

K: (We are learning about) hands. I know because mom said it
E: Germs we can’t see it.
J: (We need to) wash your hands
Then we read, Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Wash Your Hair by Steve Smallman. We discussed that just like our hands, our hair also needs to be washed to keep it clean.
M: It looks like Rapunzel
E: I saw this thing in a show!
J: Why she cannot go? (out of the tower)
R: What’s hairy?
J: She can climb down with her hair
R: She pulled his hair and he said ouch!
K: bird thinks it’s tree
Will she be rescued?
R: No, because she’s very yucky
Is it easy or difficult to wash her hair?
M: not easy. It’s going to take time to wash.
We continued our discussion by thinking about different hair colors we know, and we did a fun color mixing activity.
- Question of the day: Do we all have the same hair color?
E: Is our hair all same? Yes!
R: No. I don’t know
M: Maybe my mom have a little bit brown and black and daddy is black
K: same as Minato. Mom brown and black
I: Sleeping Beauty
M: Elsa. It’s Ariel. Yay! It’s Belle!
I: Snow White
W: Merida!

Afterwards, we measured each other’s hair to find out who has the longest hair in our class.
E: I have the same hair as Rigel
R: No. I have brown
K: Rigel: is dark brown here (side)
M: They’re the same but different
I: (Alyssa’s) hair is long
Who do you think has the longest hair in Flowers Class?
M: Evita and Peggy
K: Lucy
M: Wow it’s too long
K: Can I (measure) Cameron?
We had so much fun learning about our hair. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for tomorrow. Bye for now!
Love,
Flowers
