A Day in Buds

Our day in Buds started off with doing our morning jobs. Little by little, we know where each item goes. Way to go, Buds!

For our art activity, we had our hands painted with the color that we picked. We were so happy to see our colorful hands! We can’t wait to make our handprints into something artsy! On another table, we played with Mr. Potato Head and enjoyed trying on different hats, legs, and arms for him. Li put Mr. Potato Head’s eyeglasses on her, too, and giggled when she looked at herself in the mirror. Ty came to Vieda with two hats and said, “You have green hat. Ty have yellow hat!”. We found out that wearing Mr. Potato Head’s hats and eyeglasses look good on us, too!

In our dramatic area, we got excited to see apples on our trees! Ri, Ka, and Li were so keen at picking out the apples and putting them in the “sink” to rinse. When they realized that there were no more apples on the trees, they came to the teacher and asked, “Apples trees here?”. When the teacher said yes, they quickly put the apples back on the trees. Near the kitchen area, Ro enjoyed setting the table by putting plates and food.

Lo showed more smiles today and enjoyed walking around the room. She stopped at our low shelf with mirrors and looked at her reflection. Then, she pulled out her life book and carefully looked at each photo.

CIRCLE TIME

We love circle times! We can say “please” as we pick the color of our mat to sit on and can quietly wait for our turn to put our name on the board. Circle times means singing special songs and enjoying story time as well. Sh and Lo got up when their names were called and put up their names on the board all by themselves! H watched his friends when we sang our song with scarves and happily joined in the song!

For today’s circle time, we read Peek-a-Zoo by written by Marie Torres Cimarusti, illustrated by Stephanie Peterson. Each page had an animal with its hands over its face. We were so eager to guess the animals. Ta got so excited when he saw the animals and immediately got up to do a peek-a-boo with them!

Li: Lion! Monkey! Oh no, owl!

               Ta: Lion!

               Ty: Sea lion!

               Ri: Sister!

La was all smiles when she turned the page for the baby. On hearing that, Lily stood up and shared, “Li baby in my tummy!”. Before closing our circle time, we pulled a scarf out of a string back then sang The Fish Song using our colorful scarves.

PARACHUTE PLAY

After our morning snack, we played with parachute. We held tight on a loop while walking around and shaking it up and down. Some of our friends went underneath the parachute while others were shaking it. We had so much fun playing with the parachute!

We also enjoyed the huge LEGO blocks. We made towers that were almost the same height as us. We discovered that we could also turn them into chairs.

We hope your Tuesday was as fun as ours😊

Lots of love,

Buds
