Good morning everyone! We hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather today! We had a ton of fun playing with our friends and performing for our Buds and Flowers friends!
We started our morning working on our cards for our beloved friends in Petals Class! Then, our teachers helped us change into our black shirts and black pants for our Dress Rehearsal today! While we waited for everyone to get ready, we played with the play dough and the puppet theater!
We packed away our toys and got ourselves ready for the Dress Rehearsal! Our Buds and Flowers friends came to Petals and sat down quietly. We did a wonderful job singing and dancing! Our friends seemed to enjoy the show as they gave us a great round of applause! We thanked our friends for coming and we got changed into our normal clothes and got ready for the park.
Nimo read us R’s book, “The Feelings Book” by Todd Parr. We talked about the feelings we have inside and tried making the faces too!
R: That is my book! I bring it from home! That one is cranky!
JJ: *Pointed at the crying child* Sad! Boo hoo!
D: He is surprised! *Made a surprised face*
Nimo: *Read the book* Sometimes I feel Silly
R: Look at my silly face!
E: I can do silly face too!
Nimo: Sometimes I feel cranky
W: *Made an angry face*
Nimo: Sometimes I feel scared.
M: Look! The big cat. The mouse is scared.
J: Ahhh!!! *Scared face*
Nimo: Sometimes I feel like reading a book under the covers.
M: I read in my bed sometimes too.
R: I read two books (every night)!
I: My mommy read me a story.
P: My mommy too!
Nimo: Sometimes I feel brave.
S: Like superman and spiderman.
E: Ultraman!
M I know Anpanman.
R: Currypanman and Shokupanman are heroes too right?!
Nimo: Sometimes I feel like dancing.
JJ: I like “Floor Is Lava”
J: I can dance! I like to dance!
Nimo: Sometimes I feel lonely.
R: I know what “Lonely” is. Lonely is when no one is here and there is only one person. Everyone is away.
M: *Pointed at the lonely fish* The fish is so sad. So lonely…
Nimo: Sometimes I feel like staying in the bathtub all day.
E: I swim in my bathtub!
W: (Do you like baths?) *Nods*
P: I take a bath everyday.
I: My mommy is a mermaid.
Nimo: Sometimes I feel like…
D: *Reads the book* Doing nothing.
We thanked R for bringing the lovely book then we had a quick talk about fires before our Fire Drill. We listened to our teachers and carefully evacuated outside of the classroom then went to play at Robot Park!
